I'll also get better fuel mileage, less wear on tires, etc.

Knucklehead, Friend and rokue Thank this.

They do have great maintenance but stuff does happen. My truck didn’t have 170k on it when I was there and the clutch grenaded on me. Like @drvrtech77 said I’d try to get your peepers on the maintenance records and an oil sample. But congrats on taking the leap!

I have to say, the difference in the shifting quality between the truck im in right now and the truck I'm going into is staggering. The lease truck shifts like my Cadillac's...in other words, most of the time you don't feel it shifting at all. This thing with 87k shifts like my roommates old Chevy truck...

    Knucklehead and rokue Thank this.

@cdavis188 congrats on pulling that trigger. I agree, FCC would be a good place to Lease from and I do think they take good care of the Trucks. I hope it’s a good mix for you.

Remember, pay the truck first and then yourself. And there is a WEALTH of knowledge from O/Os within this thread. Don’t be afraid to speak up if you hit something and are unsure how to proceed. I know you won’t but just encouraging you to do so.

    good luck
    stay safe

I think the lease route isn't bad I guess but I prefer no payments, but that is me course I still have payments since I have to pay credit card payments for all the repairs, tires, maintenance on my truck though I have enough in my maintenance account for my two new tires it gets wiped out easily. I will probably need to do brakes eventually and my clutch.

    Knucklehead Thanks this.

That's probably more a difference in firmware versions that can be solved at the dealer or fcc they can do updates or recalibrate it.

    cdavis188 and Knucklehead Thank this.

VIN numbers were missing on the right side of the truck because last July a driver hit a post when turning and damaged the side box door and skirt. Other than that no major repairs or breakdowns to report. Just routine maintenance for the most part

Knucklehead, rokue and azheavyduty Thank this.

    every 8k for grease jobs
    every 24k for fuel filters
    every 48k for oil change
every 96k for engine/cabin air filter

That's how our company trucks are maintained.

Shane wants me to stay to the same schedule. Factory warranty runs out at 500k, then the extended warranty kicks in and runs to 750k

    I do have a question.

How often do the drive tires need to be rotated?
