I worked at WSTL almost 10 years before burning out and needing more hometime. I was gone 4 years and came back this week.

They've improved! Insurance is now within 30 days of hire. You can stay out as long as you want or be on a 2 week rotation for hometime. They've added probably close to 150 units since 2021 and are up to around 520 units.

The people in the office are great. The drivers I've met are friendly as are the techs. I'm kicking myself for having left when I should've taken maybe 2 or 3 weeks off instead. Lesson learned.

My orientation class has 3 rehires and 3 from my former company. I feel back at home which is something I've never experienced at any other company. So if you're ever needing a switch I'd say to check out WSTL in Troy, AL. They're a well oiled machine.

I passed one on 81 north of Salina KS, and the trailer had a giant swing door in the back. Idk what that’s all about.

I called these guys earlier and they said that their starting pay for recent CDL grads was .18/mile. Ouch. Is this the norm in the industry for recent CDL grads?

Yep. I didn't ask them what lane that was for, but I assume it was for OTR. Not too sure I wanna take that even for a newbie.
