I do mine once a year, usually in December when I’d take a couple weeks off.
Edit: I used to do mine once a year, now I don’t have to worry about it anymore. LolLast edited: May 14, 2025

I think if you see a wear pattern starting it's best to rotate them the rear drive tires seem to wear faster than the front axle so I would say often is better than later to get the most life out of a set. I believe FCC does the company trucks every 75k or so I believe.cdavis188, Long FLD and Knucklehead Thank this. -

Agreed. I rarely had any issues with wear on my drives, right rear would wear a little faster, but nothing terrible. I’d check with a gauge every month or so and rarely had much more than 1/32 difference across the 8. I was pretty light on the pedal taking off most of the time so once a year worked for me, I pulled my Michelin drives off last Sept with 330k on them and they still had 7/32 left. Sapps gave me $175 each for them. The Michelin steers I bought in Sept were still in the same position as when I purchased them and were wearing even across.Rugerfan, Knucklehead, hope not dumb twucker and 2 others Thank this.

IIRC for the extended warranty when you hit 500k it goes to Interstate Power and gets new DPF filters and a bunch of other stuff done. It’s all paid for under the warranty but it is a day or two of downtime to plan for.Friend, MidWest_MacDaddy, Knucklehead and 1 other person Thank this.

If you can I’d maybe try for every 20k for an oil change
Friend Thanks this. -
With the synthetic oil I change mine every 40k not the 48-50k schedule company trucks get. Get mine greased up every 8k at loves, ta, sapps, boss shop much cheaper than FCCs price of $125-150 I get it done for around $30-50. If oil changes didn't cost $450 on these dd15s to get done I'd do it every 30k. @cdavis188Last edited: May 14, 2025
