I don't know what that is but I bought some marine ply someyears ago to serve as the floor of one new shed and the platform in front of another. One has rotted away completely and the other is doing so near the entrance.
I am scratching my head wondering what the word 'marine' really means.

particle board is basically sawdust, and shavings glued together and baked.. it gets wet it breaks down, it’s basically cabinets/shelving before being made into it.

There's a difference between MDF and particle board. MDF is basically sawdust while particle board has larger chips. Can't really say one way or another with that picture though. MDF, particle board, OSB, or plywood. Who knows.

I love how somebody decided that MDF was the best material to make kitchen cabinets out of. You know the notoriously dry area known as the kitchen.

I believe marine ply refers to the fact that it uses more thin layers that add up to the same thickness as standard ply. Ie 3/8 marine will use 5 layers instead of 3 that would be in the standard ply. In theory it’s more stable against warping and minor damage with the extra glue and grain rotation.

I'm not positive but I think marine grade uses waterproof glue and has stricter standards as to the quality of the veneer s used - like no knotholes or voids.

One thing I'm positive of - If I want decent quality plywood I don't get it from Home Depot. Their cheap imported stuff sucks great big slimy green ones
