@cdavis188 you should also get a scan tool to force Regen tax write off for it also sometimes I get a false check engine code when one of the sensors is gummed up or something and Regen usually fixes it. The harbor freight one can only Regen but I would get one that can actually clear codes.

Just curious if anyone here has hit this issue before.
I don’t need to use an 8/2 split today but I actually had 2 breaks longer than 2 hours. One grabbing a shower and a bite to eat before my appointment and then a second once waiting at the shipper to get loaded. They are only separated by 11 minutes of drive time to the Shipper.
will be hard to tell for sure, being so close together, but which 2+ hour break would the system use to calculate the 2/8 split? I would assume the second/last one but didn’t know if anyone here actually hit that before.
Well, off to Eau Claire WS… I hope they saved me a doughnut or two.
stay safeKnucklehead, Friend and DonRobbie Thank this. -
It’ll let you use either of them. I’ve had it before where I had a 3 hour then a two hour, my hours available went up when I had 7 in the sleeper and up again when I hit 8 hours. If you did 8 hours I assume it would go with the most recent one, but if the first was 2 hours and 11 minutes and the second was 2 hours and 5 minutes it would let you go after 7:49 in the bunk even though it would make a lot more sense to wait 6 minutes. Probably clear as mud, hope it helps.

I have a feeling im going to be idling quite a bit this summer. SWR and these older APU's pretty much nope out and don't cool worth a #### once it gets above 85 or so

Got a call today, I’m turning in my current ride and moving into a new truck Monday. They said mine is going for trade. I was a little surprised since I’m just shy of 460k and I thought they were keeping trucks 500-550k now. Hopefully the new ride hasn’t suffered too much from sitting all that time. I don’t know the number or if it’s Red or White so I guess it will be a surprise all the way around.

I had two of those new 25 Freightliners
I hate to say it but my lease truck formerly 1746 with 273k drives a lot better and smoother than those did. And the 2nd one especially had a bunch of issues that went on with it at like 40k. I don't know what they changed between the 23 and 25 model years but I wouldn't drive a new one even if they gave it to me for free
and yes some of their new Freightliners have been just sitting there for months, or should i say all the ones sitting on the yard right now. No motor vehicle likes to sit around that long
Given my experiences with "reliable" new equipment, I would've told them they could have my old truck as soon as they pry the keys from my hands. At least I know it's been driven and not collecting dust for who knows how long
I could go on a tirade here but I'll refrainLast edited: Jun 6, 2025
