Finally got 2 preplans. One, eggs from Johnstown OH going to Gordonsville, VA. Then Mt. Crawford VA (preloaded) going to NE Indiana for Tuesday. I will end up with 11625 miles this month and just over 32000 for the quarter. Acceptable, but not record setting, especially for a door slammer. During my busy times at SPD, I could easily do 36000/quarter doing open deck, which uses a bunch more duty time for loading, securing, tarping, etc.
Snackbar is chillin'....at Shaffer

Maybe mechanically they're alike, but unless they improved the Mack interior, a Volvo is still far better inside. The Anthems we had at Moore were rough to live in. They ordered them with the top bunk, and unless you were 5'2" you couldn't sit up in the lower bunk without cracking your skull on the top bunk. Plus they had a lot less storage because when they made it a condo, that took away that overhead shelf that the Pinnacle had.
Friend and navypoppop Thank this. -

I found Shaffer's favorite fuel stop today. Pulled into the Flying J (AKA Huck's) in Mt Vernon, IL today and there were 3-4 of your trucks fueling there all at once and another 3 were pulling in when I was leaving. Must be a good price

Well, my load won't be ready today. It's too hot and they can't load hot eggs into a reefer that is set close to freezing or else the top layers will freeze and the bottom layers will still be hot. You know it's hot outside when it's hotter than a chicken's ###...I have a new saying...if someone asks me if it's hot where I am...it's hotter than a chicken's ###.
cdavis188, hope not dumb twucker, Bumper and 10 others Thank this.
