Just make sure u do a good job looking over ur equipment each day. Failed inspections will ruin your career going forward. Maybe u can be the turning point for the boss man to get a good maintenance plan going forward. Maybe not. Never know. Some people just need someone to lean on them every once in awhile to change for the better

It means the carrier doesn't run safe equipment and they don't ever plan to do so. They keep starting new authorities after the previous gets shut down or close to it.
This place will ruin your career before it even gets off the ground. You could potentially kill someone if the truck you're driving doesn't stop. Brakes are the single most important thing on a truck.
Do you want a fatality on your record?

Kemosabi posted some of their SMS data. It's a massive red flag and warning to you. I highly recommend you heed our advice and do not drive for this company.
You have better options. Why not look into them?
Also, this is a great opportunity for you to learn how to background a carrier from those that have been doing it (or running a company) for years. I'd suggest taking advantage of that opportunity as well.

Its a great job to cut your teeth on, just remember you're the captain of that ship no matter what anyone else says.

How's he supposed to avoid violations? The only way is to not drive faulty equipment. He's going to find something wrong on every pretrip. So what's next? He refuses to drive it until it's corrected. Then the employer fires him because they have a proven track record of not caring about the equipment.
Places like this love to ruin drivers. Drivers with poor records become trapped and end up being limited to scumbag companies like this because good companies would rather bring on a newb with a clean record versus an experienced reject with a horrible past.

I know Uber drivers in Vegas pulling $300-$400 a long day and night. They drive in from the rural area, to save. However, they’ve only got a couple years left before the robot cars take over.77fib77, hope not dumb twucker and Chi Town Steers Thank this.

its called a pre trip something every driver is supposed to do before driving.
Let me expound on this a bit, you either know what your doing or you don't.
The law is written in black and white, if this is a new driver then he should be well versed in what the expectations are having just gone through a school and testing and now is a good time to figure it out.hope not dumb twucker and Chi Town Steers Thank this. -
My first thought when I glanced at the SAFER summary was "7 trucks, but 18 inspections in the last two years - that's more than double the national rate of inspections, this could just be another example of CSA having an outsized impact on a small carrier that runs past the same scale house with higher frequency".
Then the violation list was posted and my next thought was "whelp, guess my first thought was wrong".
My third thought was "I wonder how many of these defects got repaired and how many weren't and just got overlooked at other inspections?"
My final thought was "wait a second, under OPERATING AUTHORITY INFORMATION it says "NOT AUTHORIZED", which is defined as "The entity does not have any operating authority and/or is not authorized to engage in interstate, for-hire operations"". Which begs the question, how are they booking back hauls? Or is it all 'private freight'?
End of the day, this isn't a gig that's worth rolling the dice for. -
