Sorry basset dog but that won't make anyone impressed unless they are a bus company.

AND if you think driving truck is stressful, this is even worse.

You guys say you wouldn't drive a bus, well what if it was a tour bus and your job was in Hawaii?

You don't want a P. Especially in hurricane season.

Yeah. You can go drive for a prison or a school bus. That would make Swift look like heaven on earth. And you thought you work with some screwed up crooks right now, you haven't seen anything yet...

I drove a transit bus, and let me tell you, there are a lot issues. Constantly got a couple of drunks and your bus underpaid unless there's a union and then there are union dues and there own bs deal with. The pay was $13.50 and the only good was the retirement which was an actual pension. Downside: no social security is taken out its old and has been grandfathered in not to be required to do so like the postal workers.

I couldn't live off $13.50 and there was no overtime they are so afraid you might get rich off overtime if they even smell you getting close to 40 hours, they take you off for the day. Closest I got was 38 hours pay is awful rent high when the oil field boom happened even when it wasn't even near here as if everyone was making oil field money. I left due to a lack of money they have in there heads the management who all make 90k+, that anything over 20 hours is full-time and that should be enough for anyone.

I would not advise a school bus unless you have nerves of steel, for one, unlike a transit if they touch you can't touch them back, so you cannot hit them back I am not saying hitting a kid is acceptable but when they hit you because they got dared or you wouldn't let off with there friends and that is not a acceptable stop for them its your butt because you are responsible for them and it will press your patience. Those school kids, the ones whose momma will swear their kid is an angel, are really just monsters. They have no filter and think there are no consequences. In honesty, it's designed for people who already old and collecting another paycheck from retirement because its not many hours, maybe 25-30. I got more because I worked my butt off. I volunteered to wash every single bus for hours and only 2 others were allowed we also cleaned the out-of-town buses the fancy Greyhound bus that has a bathroom no one wants to use, lol I will say this the short buses everyone knows about, at least those kids, while may get some the adults who act up. Still, they are not personally trying do it on purpose, it's their condition and when they even out they are some the sweetest kids you will ever meet I am glad they up the aged for them because once they leave HS the real challenge begins.

Thanks for all the great replies, fellas. Passenger is just something I was considering, because I currently have my Class B, and everyone associates it with buses for some reason, so I was thinking about trying that field. Well, one thing I pride myself in - my autistic self - is in having taken and passed every single CDL written test that a person can take. I'm fairly sure I'll get use out of tanker and hazmat, but I learned the rest mostly for the hell of it.

There is other work road construction as a dump truck driver. I know even JB hunt has box vans and other companies too just gotta know your area is key what you can do. Keep in mind there is more physical labor in box trucks you gotta unload yourself a lot times. There are also ice cream trucks like blue bell. I know one guy hauls dairy stuff milk, yogurt and such likes it depends what you want to do. you aren't just limited to buses there is Propane you mentioned hazmat and there is fuel and lube trucks.
