Shut it, narc. I just take 34 or more hour breaks all over the place, and hanging in a truck stop with the aroma of fresh squeezed kidney juice isn't my idea of a good time.

That is the one I was talking about... I couldn't remember his name at the time.

    i have a 03 Crown Vic with 172k miles

    i have a 96 Chevy 3/4 ton truck with 187k miles

Neighbor has a 2021 or something Dodge Ram Rebel that's frankly a bit ostentatious

I wonder which ones will still be on the road 15 years from now

Steve Lehto is the ####. He focuses a lot on HOA bs, imminent domain, small town traffic traps, and my favorite - civil asset forfeiture.

Another good one is the civil rights lawyer.

Lets catchup as I always seem to do.

Delivered my load of fence Wednesday morning in Riverside after running the 1am shift to get there out of a 34. Next load was a 2 stop gearbox load going to McCook NE and Valley NE, first drop delivered on Friday. Continuing the 1am start times to make that delivery happen.

Yesterday spoke with my 2nd string dispatcher as the starter was on vacation this week. He said to deliver McCook on Friday and to drop my valley portion in Fremont and be done with the load. Sometime after that phone call came the next phone call. Drop Valley in Lincoln and grab an empty from Lincoln and take it to York to grab a preload that needs moved the Lincoln drop yard. From there, grab the original load from Costa Mesa that I had and hook back to it and bring it to Fremont. 10-4

    No moves planned beyond that.

First west bound load since mid April. It's a nice change. East coast all the time gets old. Was just about to ask if we only go west in the winter time.
And the first 3000 mile week in about a month. Was really getting annoyed by that.

I’ve thought about doing that too.

I have a Love/Hate relationship with 34s… they are nice if I’m in an area with friends or family that I can visit… but really starting to despise them OTR at a TS or RA in the middle of nowhere.

What have you found to be the best way to get to and drop off the rental at the rental place? Do you Uber there and then back? I tried that one that “picks you up” but ended up having to get an uber to get there and they gave me credit on the rental to offset the uber cost.

I’ve thought about just taking an Uber to a Hotel and back too and skip the rental all together.

What have others done on a 34 that worked well for them?

Sometimes I take Uber or Lyft. In Kansas City, I leave the trailer at the drop yard, bobtail to the airport, and park in one of the lots out there. The ontario airport is just a couple miles from the Petro, I have walked to it once and ubered twice, the Victorville Enterprise is across the street from a Home Depot, and I can sometimes park behind it. If my wife is riding with me, I bobtail to the rental place, and she follows me back to the truck stop in the rental. I forgot about Kansas City, and Grand Junction, CO.... I have had generally good experiences there, too.
