I'm a-okay with staying out 1.5-2 weeks. That's my limit though because any more than that and I might as well just go back OTR, which is something I'd rather not do unless it was really necessary

 

when I first started here I was always deadheading to the ACT yard out of the house. At some point though they decided that sending me to Aurora or Crete was better

Also I'm not at that point with Dallas yet but there's been a couple times when I almost told my roommate to run me over with my 3/4 ton when I got home

 

I have thankfully never had the (dis)pleasure of going there

 

I will hands down take driving in LA over driving in Dallas any time, any day

And I don't mind Chicago one bit. I was through there constantly with Magnum

 

I don’t see why they couldn’t make it work. There’s always stuff coming back to Topeka, there’s the loads out of Crothersville IN and Findlay OH. Plus Richmond IN back to Olathe. Should be plenty of options that wouldn’t have you bouncing too far to and from your house.

I enjoyed the Clayton loops I was on. Usually slept in the same spots all the time.

 

They denied my request when I was there to do that as a company driver. With you footing the bill for fuel, I don't see why they would have an issue. With both of us living in Salina, it will be interesting to see what they tell you.
