Driver facing cameras… Wow… Now what’s next, audio too? I’ve had 2 hard brakes, both not my fault due to 4 wheelers pulling out in front of me. 6 months experience now.
They’re implementing these in new trucks and in the training trucks.

They are becoming more common. Insurance companies love them so that’s why they are showing up in more trucks

Glad to see you back. Was worried that something might have happened to you. Hope you and your wife are doing well and enjoying your life on the road.
Let me know if you’re going to be up by Scottie’s

Will do! We’re wanting to get up there but haven’t had a dispatch there yet. We’re hoping to do a 34 hour reset there.

You gotta ask your safety supervisor, is it better documenting a hard brake, or hitting a van full of 3 children?

Of course the answer is gonna be, where is your out in the Smith system? and if you can't go left or right, it's in front of your rig.

And just to be the devils advocate, at 6 months, you know when a 4 wheeler will pull out into your path of travel.

    Cherokee65 Thanks this.

Finished up my training last week. Saw friends and got my hazmat endorsement and TSA certification this week. Gonna get my truck tomorrow and start work on Monday!

Had a health scare… abscess on my backside. Got it lanced and now back on duty. 2 days of IV antibiotics in the hospital over it. Just need more miles to get back on track. Not much new other than trying to run miles and find parking after 10 hours.

austinmike, Friend, Lonesome and 2 others Thank this.
