The fiasco in Wabash ended with another FCC driver getting loaded with my load and vice versa. And they apparently said they knew what was happening. Informed dispatch so they could clean all that up
I was able to salvage this day into something decent at least. Made it to Iowa 80 and called it a day. I was up against my 14 and there ain't a whole lot west of here until you get past Iowa City. I've stopped here in Walcott many times but this'll be the first time actually sleeping here

I know but there's a difference between Wabash being a bit slow and just straight up ineptitude like I witnessed today. I firmly believe that no one involved actually knew what was going on. I know I didn't. At one point i just threw my hands up in the airLast edited: Aug 19, 2025

Grabbing a Load out of Port Wentworth GA today.
This Shipper is interesting in a head scratching way. To gain entry you scan your CDL into some scanner at the gate, which doesn’t seem to scan. Push button and you hear them pickup the phone, and they open gate without saying a word. Park, Go to Shipping Office, PreCheck with human that looks up your load and verifies info, then Check In officially on a huge tv sized tablet, then watch screen for load to be ready but have to talk to the human once again to get the actual Door number.
Like, pick a lane… human or full auto…
nope, some hybrid combo thing… LOL -
Every time I use the self check in kiosk at Olathe (also a weird human/machine hybrid operation) it texts me in the middle of the night, three states away and nearly two days later. Just to tell me my trailer goes in yard slot zero.Friend, kylefitzy, MidWest_MacDaddy and 3 others Thank this.

Delivered in Hastings yesterday evening, swung by Aurora to pick up my reload, and pulled back in the yard with 15 minutes left on my clock so CB could get my inspection done this morning.
10 just ended so I will grab my trailer, top off with DEF, and get on the highway heading back to Clayton for this evening. Matt has done a pretty darn good job so far of keeping me rolling. Communication has been effortless as wellGoody3635, Friend, hope not dumb twucker and 4 others Thank this. -
Good communication is hard to find these days.
Friend, Knucklehead, MidWest_MacDaddy and 2 others Thank this. -
Does FCC have driver facing cameras?
-
Yes and no. Newer drivers with less experience and anyone who did something wrong may have them turned on for a period of time. Or you can request it to be turned on. Experienced drivers with good records should be turned off.
Mine is off with tape over the lens.Friend, JForce28, Knucklehead and 2 others Thank this.
