FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

OTR flatbed, I feel like I’ve sat more the past 2 weeks than I have in the 13 months I’ve been here. Each load has had just a little bit more leeway, or not picked up as soon as I would’ve liked for it to giving me extra time to wait for it.

 

I keep getting broker loads with lives on both ends

 

I had a 70 trl for 12 days. Almost dropped it on wed but the trl i was picking up was missing part of the door handle so the right door wouldnt latch at the bottom. They had to off load onto my mt i brought in. 5 loads of live on both ends.

 

I’m still moving a lot of pet care loads, but I haven’t hauled a Kawasaki since June.

 

We’ve got to get a handle on this trailer hub thing. Every single unit has a leak these days. This morning’s empty has one completely dry. Currently in wait mode at TA.

 

Outer gasket or inner seal? If an outer gasket was leaky I’d always just put a wrench on the bolts and top off the oil if needed.

 

Exactly what my plan was, but I’ve lost my Allen wrench, and can’t find another one around here. Got to remedy that when I get home.

 

I think these trailers leak air into the hub from the tire inflation system, and it pressurizes the hub oil tank. I have never seen as many leaking hub caps as I have seen since pulling these trailers with the CTIS system.

 

I never thought about that. You might be on to something.

 

There’s also a problem with the material. Hairline cracks are becoming common.
