back to our regularly scheduled programming

In Council Bluffs to get the first oil change done on the truck since I got it. 312k miles and absolutely no issues to speak of

Well I'm on an interesting round trip. Picking up what I'm assuming is a Kawasaki load from Lincoln Trucking with two stops going to Scottsbluff and then Rapid City before going back to Lincoln empty

I know that from experience. My other car is a 2012 Accord with 240k on it.

I like those trips. I have done a ton of them, occasionally for weeks at a time.

Got the rest of my stuff offloaded and headed back to Lincoln. Swung by the Love’s in Box Elder to grab a shower and then I'll head back east. Taking the route the fuel app gave me. Which is 90 across the state to Siuox Falls and then 29 south. It may be longer but it's all interstate and I can run 70 the whole way. Plus it's not out of route at all based on the loaded miles.

Next load is from Valmont in Waverly to Holland, MI to drop Friday. Not too hopeful I'll take that one. Every time I've been sent one of these loads, it's always been pulled off for no apparent reason

I’d go south on 83 to Thedford then across to Grand Island. You’ll be able to run 70 most of the way too because there’s no traffic. Plus it will help your revenue per mile.

I've done that route before. Not a huge fan of it

Understandable, but extra miles is just extra cost. It’s your truck and your money. Personally I always tried to keep my costs as low as possible especially on a mileage contract.

You could go south at Presho or Reliance or even Mitchell and be shorter miles than going to Sioux Falls and around back to Lincoln.
