Need some advice. My wife and I will be driving from Flint to Jackson TN tonight. Is I69 south of Indianapolis good now, or should we take 65? Thanx in advance.

My AM said the majority of her drivers..will turn down preplan...if it averages over 400 miles a day...saying they can't drive anymore than that

The I-69 interchange in Indy is done, that’s about all I can tell you.

My plans changed(for the better). I stopped outside Brooksville for a pottie break (I was running ahead of schedule like usual). About the time I got the brakes set I got a message asking to swap to a load out of the same shipper going to the same receiver, only with earlier appointments. I said sure, no problem. When I got the load, it now t'calls in Marietta asap. I would have been able to get it there tonight except I got caught up in some traffic when I had to detour around a rolled over trash hauler in Dade City. Now I will be about 10-15 min short on my 11 getting it there tonight. It still delivers Monday like the other load, but delivers at 17:00 instead of 19:00, so the next driver still has more than enough time to get there. Would have been nice to add these miles to the bonus pay (since it'll come up lower than I was hoping)...but it'll give me a head start on next weeks miles.

A lot of the drivers we get with 2-3 years of experience seem to think 450-500 miles is a lot in a day and dispatching 600 miles for a next day morning appt. is a challenge. We have one that is home every weekend that worries about his 70 hours and I don't think he has ever broken 3000 miles, and ones that come from larger carriers that stay On-Duty the whole time they are in docks, or anytime they get out of the truck.

Was a little worried about my hearing and passing the whisper test.Looked up hearing guidelines on FMCSA website, found the Medical Examiners handbook which led me to this. Not worried any longer.(#2)

I 69 through Indiana is great! It's still not finished through Henderson, Kentucky but after you get through it's a great ride down to 24.
