I've done a couple that delivered to an Amazon facility. Extremely rare though. When I first started here I repowered a dry load to some Amazon facility in Massachusetts. And had a couple Unilever loads to Chicago area.

Ribeye is $22/lb. I don't know what else they want. Maybe our souls?

if people would stop buying them for a period of time they forced them to lower the price… The market always rules and as long as there are people willing to pay that price, they don’t have any reason to lower them then

Must be the best cuts then because thats high. I usually get the lower grade cuts if I want a steak. I dont eat them often anyway but no way am I paying that.

Herd size is and has been down for the United States. The big 4 are also exporting more meat than ever before. And the big 4 will slow their kill down to control what they pay for finished cattle. All of that equates to paying more for meat.

The one in North Platte is going now at limited kill while they ramp up. Walmart is getting a lot of the meat and sending it to their facility in Olathe to be processed and packaged to be shelf ready. I’ve heard Walmart bought into the plant in North Platte to basically make sure it got completed.
