I wish they did. It would make it easier to see family vs 1,050 miles each way

 

I'm thankful I stayed on the west side of Lake Michigan. Ran into a couple spots of questionable roads in the UP but other than that it was clear

I saw that Gary and surrounding areas got hammered

 

Chicago got almost a foot of lake effect snow

 

I stopped yesterday at the Haywood209 diner. It started snowing HARD for a couple hours at a time overnight. I woke up at midnight and couldn't see the building from 150 feet,so I rolled over for another couple hours. The gorge sucks in good weather with all lanes open... I didn't want to participate in the first good snow of the year's shenanigans.

for any of you drivers that typically run down to the DFW area Friday night from 7 PM to 5 AM. I 35E in denton will be closed in both directions for a major construction project
