The last time I was in NY, I stopped at Vince Lombardi rest stop. I watched a truck empty its cab of 11 people 11. I could not believe how they all were in it, but they were in it. I watched as they all climbed back into the truck and left.Siinman, Gearjammin' Penguin, OLDSKOOLERnWV and 6 others Thank this.

Local Mexican restaurant my wife and I frequent has an employee who spent years as well doing it the right way. We call him Hulio, he even had a write up in the newspaper about his journey to being a legal citizen. He is highly respected and liked in this neck of the woods.
I tip my hat to you for your long journey of doing it the right way……Siinman, Gearjammin' Penguin, SmallPackage and 9 others Thank this. -
Hmmm....two in the front seats....two on the floor in between and then 7 in both bunks, assuming it had duel bunks ....boy what a terrible situation if someone didn't shower or had a bad fart ....

hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
Cascadias and Volvos are literally used as the family homestead. It's more common than you think. When the truck breaks down and it has to be towed for repairs it gets very interesting.

Appears we think the same, and experience is similar.
Got here in 2004, naturalized citizen 2011.
H2B visa, extended within the legal 2 year limit.
EAD, (work card), whilst applying for 2 year green card.
Then 10 year green card.
Waited the 4 years in green card status to apply for citizenship.
7 years and $8k later , bingo - legal citizenship.
I have no tears for articles like the one posted. Oh wait - I’m white and speak English. I apologize for my white privilege - and I ignored anybody that said I could just “Forget about it and flaunt the rules”.Siinman, Gearjammin' Penguin, wore out and 13 others Thank this. -
Forgot to add - 4 appointments for biometrics, and a medical exam (chest X-rays and blood draw).
None closer than 150 miles away. Yes - travel and time off work.
Id guess that I’m 99% less likely to commit a crime in this country, given the fact that my fingerprints and DNA are easily accessible by LEO.
And just because I’m a naturalized citizen, it doesn’t prevent me being deported for certain crimes.Siinman, Gearjammin' Penguin, wore out and 13 others Thank this. -
