no that’s actually a bunch of gravel. It looked like he laid it over and slid and took the guard rail out. The guard rail is kind of peeled forward in front of the truck so to speak

I thought this was it. Went to check in and....none of the numbers matched. So, I had to call Lincoln. I got another number, they said that was one of the po numbers, now there is a 2nd po number. Call Lincoln again. While I had them on the phone, I also had to get them to cut a $295 rescheduling fee. Between the 2 days layover they owe me and the $295 rescheduling fee, Shaffer didn't make very much profit on this load. But I am at the dock waiting to get loaded. I usually have a good experience with this shipper but this load has been one of the most frustrating....but at least this load, they got the setpoint temp right. They usually have me set it for a frozen load only to find out I am picking up a chilled load...this time I am really picking up a frozen load.

Sunday morning, had they given me the right numbers, it would have been a quick load because I was the only truck here. Today, the place is packed.

Further proof that our planners don't read the messages in the system. I finally got loaded at 3 am last night. When I sent in my load call, I answered NO to the question "will you deliver on time". And set my PTA for noon on Friday until I get a new delivery appointment. Then this morning I updated my travel agent as to my eta to the consignee so they can get a new delivery appointment. After all that, I get a message from a numbnutz planner asking if I was good for OTD tomorrow....Really? I think his name was Moe-Ron

I was just told that those 2 days of layover for this load info screwup has been denied. They say it's detention time, so I put in for 51 hours of detention time (from the time I arrived the 1st time until I sent in my load call after finally being loaded after the 2nd time). If they screw me over after all this down time, look for the mushroom cloud when I explode

The Love's in Amarillo has jumped the gun on their Christmas music. Traditionally it doesn't start until Thanksgiving day. I wonder what the over/under is for hearing "Grandma got run over by a reindeer"

And now our holiday just took a huge ####. One of our neighbors walks down our road daily with her dogs. She knows our Pit is nothing but a big playful goof. So while my wife was locking the house to go to dinner, our Pit saw the lady and her dogs and went out to say hi, when our pit got to the end of our drive(we had our gate open because my wife was leaving, normally it is closed), her dogs started going nuts, and this lady's adult son pulled out his pistol and shot our dog dead (one of her dogs is a Rottweiler) no warning shot, no shouting...and the lady that knows our dog didn't do a #### thing. The only time our dog would even sound dangerous was if someone was attacking one of us, other than that she would just drown you with doggy kisses, or knock you down by accident because she gets to excited and can't wait to start kissing. Our dog was a registered emotional support animal, so now my wife has lost what little emotional support she had at home. If I see that mofo walking on our road when I am home, one step on our grass and a semi-auto 12 gauge will be emptied...there won't be enough of her dogs to dirty a sponge.
