FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Ya, I hate stringing lights. Helped dad when younger and will help friends in need but never did they on my homes.

But, I have seen a few different permanent solutions that caught my eye. If I had a permanent solution I’d use them for every holiday.

Let us know how they turn out.

 

Just pulled back into the yard. Packed up the car and going home. Roommates parents are having Thanksgiving this afternoon. My family is have theirs in McPherson on Saturday.

Was slightly delayed but will be delivering in Valley today and then swinging by the Fremont Yard to fuel up and drop off a few extra items I’m hauling in the Truck. Then taking a few days off to hang out with friends in Lincoln.

My friend and his brother culled the deer population by four this year. We will be breaking them down and processing the last two tomorrow. It’s actually a rather fun day. The whole family and three generations are involved… plus one tag along trucker.

Stopped by the Sac n Fox Casino on the way north of Topeka to Omaha… they were open and serving a Thanksgiving Buffet… was actually decent substitution for a family meal…



These guys were parked at the Truck Stop parking with me… it’s just amazing to see just how big the wings on a modern windmill are… on the way back to the Truck, I swung by and quickly paced it off… came in at about 225’ long.

Now, imagine just how fast those tips are moving when rotating in a good stiff wind.

 

They're so large because they contain copious amounts of fairy dust and unicorn farts.

Jumped in the truck this morning after a couple days at home, and when I put it in gear it rolled backwards. Refuses to go into any gear... remember when trucks didn't just suddenly stop working for no good reason?

 

I hate automatic transmission because this is a common issue have to hard reset it or if that doesn't fix it then some stupid sensor is broken
