Regarding your last sentence I had always heard it was the other way around but it doesn't make much difference,
the day it happened was December 2024 and the conviction was February 2025.
As for your first sentence I am inclined towards pessimism as well,
not just in this matter but generally, so I was hoping I was wrong,
that one such offense might not be disqualifying
or that it might make a difference that the offence wasn't behind the wheel of a truck.
I know someone who dumped his rig and got hired elsewhere a year later, a few years ago.

I can understand why you're anxious to return to Thailand.
Just looking at some YouTube videos of rooftop bars and jazz clubs there.
It all looks so modern and clean.
Couple of police officers from here retired and moved there.

New Jersey had a two point 'careless' and a four point 'reckless" and I often had to remind my insurance broker's clerk of the difference.

On the other hand, NJ based carriers were aware of the difference.

NJ uses careless to cover a variety of sins where other states have more specific minor moving violations.

It shouldn't matter if the rest of the MVR is clear; times like now are making it harder but there are several carriers already listed that woiuld make a good bridge to a better position -or- a bankroll and a ticket back east.....

Try Werner. If it's your only ticket, they MIGHT after the ticket is a year old.

You might also try Saia. They allow two moving violations in 3 years.

Most of the lesser OTR companies will make you wait 3 years.

The middle tier companies will make you wait 5 years.

The really good companies will make you wait 7-10 years.

If you’re willing to do flatbed, try OCMC trucking out of melrose park IL. If you have good work ethics you won’t have an issue making 2500 weekly consistently. I believe they allow 1 moving violation in past 2 years.
