I want a topper for my truck but I'm not sure if I should look for one or just build one myself. If I go the topper route, colors doesn't really matter much to me. An 8 foot box is certainly a lot more useful if it's covered. I would love a 2500 Suburban but they're expensive for good ones Screenshot_20251217_221412_Gallery.jpg

Mine is a 2500 with the 454/4L80e combo, strong puller but man is she thirsty! Gotta watch out for the gen VI 454 though, the fuel rail is plastic and they're unobtainium.

Mine's just a 350 but it has 4L80 as well. Towed 7600 lbs a couple weeks ago with no major issues. Is yours 4x4 or no? Mine is. The only issues with mine are that the A/C doesn't work and it'll need new tires eventually, neither of which will be cheap to address. Just rolled over 190k the other day Screenshot_20251218_051616_Gallery.jpg

Nice looking truck! I would invest in a sto bought topper to make her look really great. I like them LT Wrangler tires as well. Just put a new set on my Z71 and they certainly ride nice. They should though as they don’t give em away.

My Goodyear's are pretty worn, down to 6/32nds on most of them and they're 6 years old. I'm currently juggling a few different options for replacement. LT tires are more expensive and I'm not sure I would really make full use of them. I'm looking at $1,000-$1,500 out the door regardless of what I pick

Mine is 4wd, 14 bolt rear axle and just under 190k. Original owner was from California and used it to tow his camper. The paint is shot but no rust at all.

I started using LT’s on my pickups and such when I was driving suburbans. I drive those vehicles mostly all highway and the I-20 East of the Ms River through Meridian, (other places as well), especially around Jackson as you know is one rough mofo. P tires in my experience cannot hold up to the high speed pounding like a good LT. Have to sacrifice a little mpg, but rigidity and toughness make up for it. Wranglers with Kevlar I just bought were right at $1700 out the door. That is a nicer looking old Chebby though.

Dale thompson, Feedman and bzinger Thank this.

Another option. Leer topper. Paint is pretty much shot but I have a guy who can repaint it white for me, obviously for a price but he discountshis services for me. A lot cheaper than the white one. We're talking $250 vs $800 Screenshot_20251219_101130_Facebook.jpg Screenshot_20251219_101153_Facebook.jpg
