At what point would Prime file bankruptcy?

    Most of these Mega’s are self insured. They carry an insurance company by law that has a minimal cap on what they pay. The rest comes out of pocket.

    As in the WERNER case, it will be appealed and, in a few years, it will settle for a couple of million, at most. Cooler heads will see this was the fault of all of the drivers in the accident, not just this one.

    Something else to consider is that 25% of the judgement is against the plow contractor and punitive damages are capped, so Prime is 'only' looking at maybe $25 million.

    What I want to know is what did Prime offer to settle for before trial?
