Bad news (for the Snackbar clan)...we didn't win the Powerball jackpot. So, the forum is stuck with my contributions, positive and negative, for the foreseeable future.

Since today's paycheck is the final one of 2025, I have calculated that my (combined) gross pay is roughly $10k less than I made last year. Mrs. Snackbar made a few hundred more than she did in 2024, but nowhere enough to make up for my drop. And I don't see that much of an improvement in 2026. I get a penny raise if I am here in March, but that equates to about a $1200-1250 bump. I mean, I push Lincoln as hard as I can for miles, but I might get a little over 120k miles by my 12 month anniversary date, nowhere near my best days at SPD (before the Wylie partnership and Daseke sellout) or even what I was running the last time I was here (even with all the truck swap/breakdown issues). Truly disappointing miles for a driver who spends the amount of time away from home that I do.

2025 will be my best year ever. Went from home daily to home weekends. Hard to complain too much about that, but I do find ways sometimes.

You doing better than I did. Was out for 5 months with cancer. March to August. I dread to see what my taxes gonna look like. Had some disability at $500/wk before taxes. They didn't take out nearly enough. I'm at about 59k miles for the year.

I could understand a major drop in pay having to deal with something that serious. I don't have anything like that to justify a drop like this other than I am stupid and came back here for a third try...it all goes back to a variation of the definition of insanity...I keep coming back to the same place expecting a different result.

I just have to say, since they can't give me the miles I should be getting spending as much time away from home as I do, why invest the extra time just to make the rich richer. Starting in January, it's 3 1/2 and 3 1/2, 3 1/2 weeks out, 3 1/2 days home.

127,085 paid miles in 2025… if you add the miles that I’m ending today which will be the end of my week it would be 128,694 miles paid miles for 2025

grossing $91,333 on the 127,085 paid miles

my second full year here was nearly $11,000 more… Just saying my first year back was low as well, but it definitely jumped the second year and I anticipate going up even more my third year now I can’t see why yours wouldn’t Go up as well.
