Revenge…
You know that load that they’ve been waiting on? The one that they didn’t want to pay detention pay for? They were banking on that one load. What would happen if they were under the impression that you were still being a good little employee and was on your way to pick it up and suddenly you become the most incompetent person they ever had to deal with on the phone? On the load they are banking on?lynchy, hope not dumb twucker, Albertaflatbed and 1 other person Thank this. -
After 3 week with no work, that's considered "constructive dismissal". Not sure what the waiting period for collecting unemployment is in Alaska, but I'm betting you are already owed it. I'd call the local State Police and enter a charge of abandonment, so that they can pay for your trip back home. Leave your truck there and walk...

I didn’t follow the SAFER link like I should have before asking.JolliRoger and hope not dumb twucker Thank this. -
I give this driver a lot of credit for not abandoning his truck. He’s gone this far three weeks. Don’t throw in a towel yet and have a bad record. Follow you. 99 out of 100 people would’ve thrown the town left already, but you stuck with it. Give you a lot of credit for that and see what happens. I wish you the best of luckLast edited: Jan 12, 2026
