Funny thing is still nothing on their social or web pages about closing. Mike really made a mess of that company.

So, we are still open BUTTT
Called Penske in West Fargo, we have 30 days to turn all the trucks in. All the remaining trucks we have are Penske Lease Trucks.
Penske will pay for us to get home if we turn them in at a Penske location.
Ownership has not said a word to any of us yet.
If you don't belive me, call Penske in West Fargo, ND and talk to the service dept. 701-373-7006.

The end of an honestly great company. Sad to see it go :(

Layman’s terms: 30 days to turn in all the trucks or we’ll come and take em anyway!

I'd be asking how/when and who's paying the fuel to route to Penske. Hopefully you're not too far out.. Glad you had a good experience but that doesn't seem to be the consensus on this forum.. Hopefully they do right by their drivers on the way out..silence is never good though.. so you need to be hearing something ASAP.

Sounds typical of Mike to just keep everyone in the dark about whether the company is still going or not. He has such poor leadership abilities he could screw up an anvil with a plastic hammer.

total shame the way he turned his father’s company into a mess while the other family company (holland) is still going quite well.

    48Packard, hotrod1653 and Lonwolv54 Thank this.

I wouldn't count on Penske helping you get home, same #### Celadon told drivers, return the trucks to a dealer and they would have a bus ticket, the dealers didn't know #### about it, they just wanted their equipment back without paying recovery.

This makes more sense now. Saw a white Volvo with white steel wheels that had a Great Plains logo on it last week on I-5

    That’s basically what they are…steel
Wheels, basically bare bones except for the factory inverter. GPT would add the APU & fridge.

I hated the steel rims on the Penske freightliner I had. Added a lot of tare weight.
