I have an 04 379 and when I start driving my heat quits blowing. The vents will still be hot but nothing comes out. When I stop it will start blowing again. When I switch to a/c it blows like normal. Blower motor is new and fuses are good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The fuse is getting hot and tripping. When it cools it works again. Try replacing the resistor, if this doesn't work, make sure fuse is not loose in the fuse box. Make sure heater connection isn't loose, lastly could be a bad wire.

    Just what @bad-luck said,

I have a 1995, not sure if your dash setup is the same, but the blower motor on mine is behind the glovebox assembly (8 screws and the whole thing is out), and I found a poor butt connector on mine causing the same issue. It's not a bad idea to check it anyway even if it's not the culprit - I found mine with clear hot/burnt spots in the connection. Clean it up and direct solder the joint.

Where is the heater connection? I put a new resistor in and the fuse is tight but still the same issue.

Wonder if the spring looking thing inside the duct by the motor/blower has anything to do with it, I changed mine on my 94 when I replaced the motor, and the switch.

The spring looking thing ( resister ) should still allow it to run on high.

Check the plug where you plug the blower motor in. They are famous for getting melted and making bad connection. Might even look ok but still be bad connection. I'd do away with the plugs and hard wire
