Back from Lunch… the food was pretty good at this Indian Diner but it was so breezy it felt like they left the windows cracked. Rather expensive too but I’m sure they saw a target on my back… lol … the naan bread was very good.
Modlite11 Thanks this. -
Some days you wake up really wanting to be a truck driver. Other days you don't.
Depleted my 70 apparently and was given 34hrs to sit and think about what I've done. And honestly my 34 will be up before I would ever even have gotten time back for a recap.
But something I told my wife today, it's amazing how much one person can affect your job. Or at least your perspective. She works with a clown, balloon animals and all. No place for clowns in her field of work.
My dispatcher, was awarded 2024 Nebraska dispatcher of the year award. The window he provides me into this company paints the most beautiful picture. Today I called to check in to give him the what's what of my hours and my discussed pta with weekend dispatch.
Well, he wasn't there. Got someone else. And had she no idea what I was trying to tell her.
"Ok, so you're letting me know when you'll be ready? Ok, I see you are in Tennessee"
..."no... I'm in Kansas"
So, usually when I make these phone calls, shortly after I get sent my next load. No load was ever sent out. Nor any further communication.
Oh well. Tomorrow will be a new dayrunningman0661 and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
At the KC yard, aren't we supposed to drop empty trailers closest to the street and loaded ones in the row facing them?
-
I don't know the direct instructions on that. But I've seen either on both sides. Personally I drop loaded trailers as you mentioned. With that said, the empty I snagged Friday was from the same row, facing towards the street.
-
I'm surprised you found an empty. The local guys usually snag those to go get dog food stuck on them before they sit long enough for someone else to snag them.

I have no experience with the cell service part of T-Mobile I just have to mobile hotspot and even with high speeds it'll kind of buffer on YouTube and streaming. While Verizon has lower speeds but it doesn't do that

Spotted this today at the shop, somebody got a shiny new toy.
Did it make the most business sense.. probably not
Is it beautiful.. yes
Congrats to the owner

I miss mine every time I see one. I don't miss the fuel expense, and mine averaged almost 7.4mpg in the operation I used it in. All light loads in a van. I would like one again, if I could haul only Kawasaki and B-D stuff. Foothill ranch would be pain in the ###, though.

So far, I'm stacked up pretty far in preplans. At least through next Tuesday afternoon.
Delivered some drive off units in Aberdeen SD this morning. Heading back to Lincoln to grab a 3 stop to the Denver area for Thursday/Friday. (With high temps of 87/88 those days)
From there, grab a two stop load of poles going to Knoxville TN for Monday and Cartersville GA for Tuesday next week. The tentative plan after that is to grab some Kawasaki racks from Hoschton GA Tuesday afternoon and bring them home with me, filling up the trailer after hometime with other stores as needed.
