FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

I know the owner of this truck he's the lad from Finland this was his dream truck so he'll be smiling even though she'll be thirsty. Anyway so fcc sent out this today.

 

The owner of this rig does alot of SWR and gets Kawasaki loads, but he said he'll probably have to reject some if it's a tight location.

 

Just as Diesel hits $5 a gallon, has to have some buyers remorse. Nice looking truck.

 

The fuel surcharge rates should be helping out there. The fuel price isn't $5 btw we get a discount down to $3.x depending on wherever your at...

I know in my W900, as long as I averaged more than about 6.5mpg, the higher fuel went, the more I made. At one point, when fuel first hit $4, I made more in surcharge than I even spent on fuel.

 

Exactly how it works here fuel being high we make more.

 

Not sure if it still works like it used to, but the last time fuel spiked, the only time companies and O/O's didn't make better money (if they got good mpgs) was when the prices went up really fast before the DOE calculated the weekly average that the surcharge was based on.
