They offered me a Tyson load but just turned it down because I don’t babysit loads…

Evidently too many late deliveries are happening so now they’re padding the Tyson loads with too much time on them…

I deliver at 1:30 tonight in Memphis, they want me to pick up the load at 2 PM Saturday in west Tennessee too..first drop 400 miles Sunday morning in Georgia and final drop in Florida 400 more miles down the road Monday morning, a total of 900 miles from Friday morning to Monday morning I said no thanks

Farewell Shaffer, I finally pulled the trigger and told them to switch me to the dry side. After last weeks b.s. with getting that trailer to Tropicana, which resulted in me getting home another day later than planned, I decided that I have had enough of the 3 ring circus that is called Shaffer. Last Friday I had a discussion with the useless Ops manager at Shaffer (whom I call Mr. Excuse), and the last message I sent said I have had enough of Shaffer, so we need to either switch me, or let me know if we can't so I can start putting out applications because one way or the other, I am done with this division. All week, I heard crickets from Lincoln. I finally got thru to him this afternoon, only to find out...he is out of the office. At 16:40, he finally told me that Deland can switch me over...so I finally get thru to them 10 min before quitting time and say flip the switch. So I may still be home thru the weekend, but at least I won't have to deal with all the underpaid reefer b.s. 2 cpm just isn't worth all the extra crap that comes along with Shaffer loads. So bye bye Shaffer.

Not to mention you have to then get out of Florida. What rate were they offering? Was it halfway decent?

Been running back and forth along 55 all day near Chicago. Of course the last delivery didnt have an empty and its after hours, so God knows how long I'll have to wait for permission to bobtail to my pickup or where to get an empty.

    navypoppop and Lonesome Thank this.
