So yesterday I was in the middle of a repositioning move from Pageland South Carolina(raggedy Marathon truck stop) to Columbus Ohio. After fueling in Nitro West Virginia is when my adventure began. Making a left turn out of that Pilot looked like it would've been a pain, so instead I turned right and risked the back roads. Did a big loop just to cover not much distance across I-64. But no problem. I travel down I-64, and the GPS wants me to head towards US 35. I actually thought about sticking to the interstates at first, but then I realized that would've been a longer way. When I blew past my exit, I took the next one. Country Road 19.
Whoops.
Winding roads past itty bitty houses with some fascinating curves and some pissed off locals. I had to intersect opposing lanes multiple times and avoided a couple branches and one low hanging telephone line.
Yesterday I learned to cross check the GPS with the dispatch directions.![]()

I'm sure that has happened to most, if not all of us Mario. At least you learned something from it, and didn't bend anything up or hurt anyone!
rocknroll nik and truckermario Thank this. -
Happened to me and I was following not only the companies directions but also the recievers! It was in kentucky take a us 31e out of Louisville down to Bardstown. What a mistake that was. I was just green enough to follow those directions instead of rolling down 65......when I got there the guy on the dock was amazed I drove that way, he gave me the safe route out of there and man I was happy about that!!
