### does your head have to be, to be a load planner or dispatcher ??
Anyone know ??
This past weekend, was my weekend in the barrel...aka spent on the road.
Simple load. Address on bills does not match dispatch information. So I sent " Please verify location and address, dispatch does not match bills" My exact words.
Please keep in mind, this is a time sensitive load, that HAD to be there.
First, the load planner did not allow enough time for the load. 65 MPH dispatch up Hwy 71 in LA and AR.
Second, The response received, was directions to the plant. The EXACT address on the dispatch. Not the address on the bills.
Long story short, not only was the #### thing late. It was at the wrong plant.![]()

I'm sure glad I don't have to deal with load planners and the sheat that you
guys do.
I can call the terminal and get a dispatcher right away on the phone, I know lots
of you guys have to go through an automated call system that may take awhile to
get an actual human on the phone. The other day I was at a shop getting a tire
changed out and the guy there was calling Werner to get an authorization to fix a
mud flap. The guy waited on the line at least 1.5 hours to talk with someone.
Also if needed I can get a number directly to the shipper or receiver and talk with
them myself. I know most companies don't want the driver calling the business
themselves. -
I can reach dispatch via phone, anytime. But I'd rather not deal with it, for something this simple.
The 2 plants were located in the same city. So there was time for it to be cleared up.
Except some people are too #### lazy to follow up on a driver who has questions.
The question would have raised an immediate red flag to me, and I would have gotten hold of someone who could have clarified the info...
But that's just me.
