Yes you will get a new trainer. You should of called Werner your SDM an let them know that the Trainer wasnt showing you nothing with the Qualcomm or anything for what you were going to need. I was a trainer for Werner for Years an ALL my students was shown and Worked on my truck. Alot of other trainers didnt like me b/c their students would talk with me an I told them the way it was an if this happen to them what happen to you they would leave that trainer an ask for a new one. BUT its always up to the student to ask for a new one no one else can do it for them. Good Luck an hope you have a job when you are done with training an not sent home.

Hey Kindhearted, why would a trainee be sent home after training for 300 or more hours driving time? I will aquire my CDL's on July 15th and will go to Werner the following monday. What advice do you have as a former trainer? I was guaranteed a dedicated route with the Family Dollar acct out of Morehead, Ky. Do you think that guarantee will stand?

Only time I have seen someone sent home after 300 hours is because they refused the dirty banged up cracked up think that was once a truck that was assigned to them. Then they are like ok you don't want that one well that is all we have take it or go home. most never come back if they go home. they find a different company because they get tired of waiting and need money. Best advise Don't go home. Take what they give you. If you stay in the hotel waiting on a truck you still make $20 a day. you go home you get nothing and your not in their face everyday screaming here I am give me a truck. If you don't like the way things are going once you get out on the road then get your experience at least 6months to a year then go to a smaller company. Werner,Swift, USX, ect. ect. all the big companies are the same. Only way things will go different is if you go to a smaller company and risk being ate by the big fish.

If you are on family dollar you have that job. because most the drivers don't want dollar general or family dollar. Reason is alot of drivers get hurt. It is physical work. And moving heavy stuff around so it is easy to pull and strain things.

you dont get NO money if U refuse a truck an sit an wait in the hotel room. And yes the Students do get sent home an they are told to call once a week to see if there are any trucks. after the 30 days are up then they have to find some company to hire then even tho they dont have 3 or 6 months.. oh yes they are asking drivers that do get to stay after 3 months of drive if they want to be a trainer.. that is scary.. tata

Well you will have a job then but be really careful working on the DG or the FD it is as jolsen said its Hard an alot of drivers do get hurt.. ok when u get ur trainer an if u are having any problems call the SDM an let them know just dont take the BS from the trainer.. they get sent home b/c they are told there aren't enough trucks see WErner doesnt have to hire them they are just helping out the Goverment on retaining people that have lost their jobs thats all.

Dg and fd are very demanding jobs. Before I took a leave of absence I was on dg. When I got home I slept for a day. Each "rolltainer" is roughly 1000lbs. My first day I drove about 6 hours to our delivery, unloaded about 80% of the trailer(in el paso tx, roughly 105* outside the trailer.) then had to drive 3 hours to our next deliver and repeat the process. I did get a foot ran over by a rolltainer and my nails been black since. I really don't know if the extra $100 extra a week is really worth it. Should be going back later this week and might just run 11 western.
