So whats the story and where are the rest of the pics?
-
And why does there seem to be more car haulers that start on fire??
At least it seems that way to me,..... -
Well, the story is, Mr. Brickman...
Manville, NJ...an auction facility. This happened this past Friday I am assuming because of the fresh stench everywhere and the "white foam" sprayed across the parking lot. This truck had a couple units loaded on the head rack and a couple on the wagon. Looked to me it started in the engine area but it could have been the sleeper. I had just pulled in looking for a parking hole and snapped a couple pics of this. I've seen a bunch of this but it always amazes me how hot they get. The truck just melted. No wreck here...it happened while the cat was either loading or unloading. He had already split when I took the pic. He probably was not in a mood to hold conversation with anyone anyway.
Walleye...I know of more than one careless driver storing battery boxes (portable 12 volt jump boxes) in the under bunk area just to have them bounce around and the leads get up against something & cause a fire. If there's any starting fluid, aerosol cans of ???...just about anything near...it's just a few seconds till you're looking like the previous pic or worse.
Cuz had a driver sleeping in one of his...a Pete with a Cat...fuel line in the vicinity of the starter had been frayed and it went up in nothing flat. Luckily, another driver beat on the guy's doors and he bounced out in his skivvies, scratchin' his head. Too late....it was a late-night truckstop car-be-que. -
I've seen em burned to the point where the ONLY thing that was not melted or burnt off was all steel. EVERY THING else that could burn or melt was gone from the truck.
