I understand that, Mr Hippy...but it seems to me the sentence is not complete and the period is placed prematurely.

It is a smart thing to do...for operators that are not ready for prime time.

I guess that's why I'm a one pony show...I would never cut loose a driver with my credentials on the door that was not fully ready and competent along with my own healthy dose of confidence in their abilities.

I guess it's also why I don't run a school for drivers 'cause graduating class would be very limited in numbers...but when they did get the send off, they could park wherever they needed to.

Shoot, when I started driving it was for the big orange freight hauling company. I always parked by the O/O's, in the back row. What better incentive to get good at backing that an ### whipping from some dude in a large car? :biggrin_2559:

    Everett Thanks this.

Me, too. It seems a lot of drivers want as close to the truck stop building as they cane get. There's been many of times that I've back in the back forty and watched other trucks drive around the lot, looking for a spot. There'd be a spot, or two, to back in next to me and they would circle around and leave. I reckon they just don't want to take the time to back into a spot, they'd rather just pull through.

I always tried to park as far away from the building as possible. Figured I needed the exercise.

I was at that little truck stop on US 50 near I70 in Grand Junction CO one time. It was cold and blowing snow. There were only a few trucks in there, but I parked in their back lot that is across the street, and all the way to the back.

I had an old hand laugh at me for being a "rookie." Which I was at the time, but that is not why I parked back there. I needed the "stretch out" time between the truck and Oscars.

I always try to park as far away as possible too. Gets me some exercise. But I have to admit a few times I've had issues getting into some spots mainly because there was too much room.......#### wagon starts goin all over the place..LOL it also coulda been from lack of sleep too but I'll never tell
