Currently driving for Werner but thier sliding payscale isn't cuttin it. I've been looking into knight, anyone run out of the term here in Vegas? Also I see them advertising the "slip seat" positions. Anyone have any input on that? I don't wanna hear your sob stories about how you used to work there and they ruined your life. Just looking for some input not drama. Thanks guys

wish i could shed some light on your question, but i start orientation with them on monday, so ill get back to you on your question than. ill be running out of SLC but im sure its the same. i know they are offering a 14/7 express, 14 on, 7 off. and also they are hiring REF for all 48 and Dry for the 11 western. im starting the 11 western, and other drivers i talked to average 2400 miles a week. and do short runs, 300 or less, which with their current pay scale is around 40 cents a mile. its like 0-300 is 40 cents, and 301-500 is 39 cents, or something along those lines, like i said ill get you correct info on monday.

Short LOH, nice trucks, less then 10k miles a month, lump it or leave it additude.

Try GTI(gordon) out of Vegas, better company.

I'll have to give gti a call? Thier website doesn't really give any good info. But I do see there trucks always runnin.

Next time I'm in town I'm gunna swing by knight to get some info too. I'd love to talk to a driver on the express runs to see if it's all it pans out to be.

I usually run anywhere between 8K to 11K a month. It depends on your dispatcher, and the volume of freight in your area. The pay is based on a sliding payscale. Check with the recruiter (Jana) for current pay rates. Slip seating is a company policy that states that if you plan on taking more than 4 days off, then you would have to clean out the truck for someone else's use.

The division manager is awesome (and overworked), and the dispatchers have been improving. You'll have some bad days here with Knight, but that happens everywhere. The one thing I hate about this company is the lack of trailers. Other than that, give them a ring.
