Is going local as a newbie a mistake?

hahaha I think i'll go ahead and hold onto this job and guard it with my life. Thank you though for all the concern for my health. I found out that it's a after hours route which means it's a night run but I don't get that route until after I get done with my 3 months of training. Thanks for all the advice guys, it's nice for us newbie's to be able to pick the brains of the veterans.

 

No it's not Redball oxygen. This company hauls oxygen and other things used for welding and hospitals. I imagine they're the same type of company though. This company's been around for a long time and is still family owned. I've tried to find anything that might throw up a red flag but I can't find one at all.

 

So just to update this thread, I went down to the DOL today and got my CDL. Now I'm just waiting on the phone call to setup a interview and get to work. Not having a job yet is killing me, I hate having to sit around and wait. I talked to their driver trainer on Tuesday and he said he doesn't see why I wouldn't get the job. I also talked to one of their drivers and he seemed to be pretty happy and has been with the company for 15 years. So I feel like i'm making a pretty good decision. Anyways I wanna wish all you guys and gals out there a Merry Christmas and happy new year.
