Jealousy does that for some people

hahaha I think i'll go ahead and hold onto this job and guard it with my life. Thank you though for all the concern for my health
. I found out that it's a after hours route which means it's a night run but I don't get that route until after I get done with my 3 months of training. Thanks for all the advice guys, it's nice for us newbie's to be able to pick the brains of the veterans.
The Challenger Thanks this. -
Well you rest assured they will not cut you lose without lots of training , 1 advantage over starting out OTR.
Local outfit near here that runs GASES has a very stringent training ( ongoing ) and safety requirements.
Best of luck. -
Hell yea. Wonder if it's Redball oxygen? You can a career with those people. When I worked in lawn and landscaping, two of our customer's are retired from redball as drivers.
-
No it's not Redball oxygen. This company hauls oxygen and other things used for welding and hospitals. I imagine they're the same type of company though. This company's been around for a long time and is still family owned. I've tried to find anything that might throw up a red flag but I can't find one at all.

To be honest i have a friend that is a state boy ,and he said that there where more accidents otr than local.

So just to update this thread, I went down to the DOL today and got my CDL. Now I'm just waiting on the phone call to setup a interview and get to work. Not having a job yet is killing me, I hate having to sit around and wait. I talked to their driver trainer on Tuesday and he said he doesn't see why I wouldn't get the job. I also talked to one of their drivers and he seemed to be pretty happy and has been with the company for 15 years. So I feel like i'm making a pretty good decision. Anyways I wanna wish all you guys and gals out there a Merry Christmas and happy new year.

I WOULD NOT RIDE WITH A GREENHORN PULLING ANY HAZMAT ESPECIALLY ANY LIQUID FLAMABLE..
I got offered a job back in 2006 hauling blasting agents local, but I just hired on hauling Fuel. -
Oxygen isn't flammable. It's an oxidizer. You can have oxygen spewing all over the place and walk around sparking your cigarette lighter all day long and nothing would happen. Unless you have a serious fire already going, there will be basically no effect.
