For those that are too tired after driving all day to work out I urge you to try it. After 2 or 3 weeks you will feel better and will sleep better. Even going for a 20 minute brisk walk is better than nothing.

Yes that is definitely one of the perks. In my old job there was constant politics, man-measuring contests, and blame-games going on. I would go to my good paying job every day but I hated it! I didn't know what to do because I needed the money so bad. I hated Fridays because I knew the weekend was too short. I hated Mondays because it was too long til Friday. So I hated every day of the week.
Now I'm just out here free spirited running all around the country where ever my driving skills are needed (needed is a great feeling!). I gotta say I felt really guilty the first few months doing this because I liked it so much. I couldn't square it with what I knew or thought I knew about trucking and truckers. How could I like it so much? How come I can go for weeks without going home and not get homesick? I feel for the first time in a long time I'm doing something I want to do the way I want to do it. I get to set my own schedule; work when I want to. Freedom. -
Great isn't it Scottie? I know what you mean about the weekends. When you are on the road there is no more stress of the Sunday evening! All your days are created equal. Glad you love it so much man! Nice to have a career like that isn't it?

Salmonella is awesome for weight loss...nothing stays in you long enough to add fat cells....
Had it years ago, by the time I got it cleaned out of my system I had lost 58 pounds.
'Course I didn't HAVE 58 pounds to lose...took a while to get the important ones back...and learn how to eat again...and walk...

Scottie, may I ask what high paying job it was?

Once again, EZRider, you'll find some heller shots of an alternate PT regimen in the "Got Chrome??? How about Armor???" thread at truckforum.org , but maybe that sort of activity just isn't your style... that's what makes trucking so great, all the choices available to drivers committed to the OTR lifestyle. "ADIOS!!!"
