El Paso at the yard. Took a trailer over to the shipper that wants perfect trailers to send to Mexico. The little security guard rattled the torsion bar and rejected the trailer for it. I was tempted to ask if she wanted to fix it while she was under there since she knew so much about it.

But, instead, I came back to the yard and got a different trailer. See if they like this one. I'll be danged if I take a brand new trailer over there to be raped and pillaged over in May-hee-co.

Add: Second trailer rejected. This is wasting my time. I'm staying attached to this trailer and taking it to our shop for inspection in the morning. If this load isn't important to the customer, it isn't important to me either. I'll get it there when I get it there.

Swift- Martinsburg, WV. Rather icy this morning. Just like they said it would be. And yet the folks down in Memphis want me to run a load up to New Hampshire.

I made that mistake a couple years ago and I'm not doing it again. They want us to try to haul a load, and yet if the roads get horrible and I have an accident (even if I have that accident while trying to get off the road) it's my fault cause I "shouldn't have been driving at all."

Can't win no matter what I do, so I'll do nothing instead.
