Spartanburg, SC TA
the showers had so much black mold turning on the light wouldn't even penetrate it. It was actually peeling off the walls in sheets.
Worst truck stop you have been to

I showered at the J Exit 306/9 (I think) on I75 in GAS about 2 months ago, and found tiny worms wriggling around in the shower. I almost threw up, and literally had visions of them all over me that night. I called to complain, and they hooked me up with a bunch of points, and some free showers, and assured me it had been corrected. But I'll be ###### if I ever go there again!
Also, is it just me, or is every TS where they charge $ to park, the nastiest dumps ever made? lol -
In Ulin Illinois I-57 x18 the Fast Stop. It's a little fuel stop with about ten parking spots. I pulled onto and through the fuel island, hoped out, popped my hood and was checking my oil. I noticed it was a little low just as some lady came running out of the store to tell me I had to buy fuel, go park in the lot, or leave. I've never even seen a truck buy fuel there. I left and bought a gallon of oil down at the Cheers travel center in Missouri.
Some people and their lack of people skill really floor me sometimes. -
The TA's in Ontario, CA also give me the same impression. -

I forget the name of it, but its that dump over near San Bernardino,ca where I-10 and the I-215 meet. It might have been nice back in the fiftys, but the place is a dive now. I wouldn't even think of staying overnite.

Does anyone remember the Walt Whitman truckstop underneath the bridge in beautiful Philadelphia? That's one place you need armor plating, bullet proof windows, firearms and new shocks and airbags for your truck and trailer when you are going through the parking lot. You've never seen so many lot lizards, crack heads, thieves and basic bottom of the world scum in one confined area. Makes the old Detroiter truckstop look like paradise. Avoid with all caution. You are better off driving back into Jersey and going to the Petro at I think exit 7 to spend the night and heading down to Front Street in Philly to load in the morning. Do not stay at Procacci Brothers during the night because they send you around the corner by the Walt Whitman to park on a dead end street under an overpass. If you have to, open the back doors on your trailer, leave them open, park in the middle of the dead end road, lock all your doors, close your curtains and hope you see daylight.
PackRatTDI Thanks this.
