:biggrin_25513: I need a shot of Morphien now! Im sitting on the side of 135 waiting for my tractor brakes to cool because my student stopped at rest area and when she took off she forgot to release the tractor brakes!! Shes was almost done with training to! Couldent have happened 2 weeks ago when i was a company driver, she waited till i baught my own truck do pull of a stupid stunt like this!! ... I was in the bunk on my laptop when she asked " whats this white smoke comin out of the drives?" I stand up to see the red brake light on the dash and the yellow brake valve pulled out!!! I havent said a word to her since i yelled for her to stop and now shes sitting in the passenger seat crying.... I believe my training days are now OVER!!!

Kinda Ironic, she was trying to explain to me about how she didnt feel that she needed 275 hrs of training this morning... most of em say that.... im done dealing with these idiots.... the extra money isnt worth dealing with the stress!

    ronin Thanks this.

that is a pretty basic item she shouldnt have missed---would think as soon as she started letting out the clutch that something was a miss-----let me guess--perhaps a third gear take off?--at least she didnt twizzler the drive shaft

Not sure what was goin through her mind.... only thing i can think of is that were heavy, and maybe thts why she didnt realize it till smoke was pouring out of my drives... either way, she will not have the oppertunity to make a mistake like that that on my truck again...:biggrin_25513:

One would think that the wheels chirping and sliding would have been a clue that something was wrong.

How isnt it? Shes almost done with training, Should a trainer really make sure the VERY basic things are done before a soon to be certified driver leaves after a piss stop? ... like iv said all along... Most people arent ment to do this job... the tires werent chirping or sliding, and she was shifting the truck fine... first thing i knew about the situation was when she asked me about the smoke...

    ronin Thanks this.

And idk if your a trainer or not, or a fresh rookie or whatever, but a trainers job is to train! Not to hold someones hand till the end of training...
