Left Midland, TX at 10:00 AM headed to Amarillo hauling a gas well mod building on a RGN low-boy. Drop in Amarillo and reload tomorrow for a trip home hauling an articulated earthmover.

Thats funny!!!

Dude, you need to post up some pics of that stuff.... There is a thread somewhere on the forum for heavy haul pics.07-379Pete Thanks this. -
Well to finish my story, about 3 years later a pal of mine calls and asks if I wanna help him haul a few "hot" loads(not the it needs to be there yesterday or stolen stuff)
anyway I'm game after wards I take my bills to the terminal to get paid and Chuck the potty mouth dispatcher is now working for this outfit that I had pulled these loads for.
We make eye contact and he asked "can I help ya". "I'm turning these bills in and wanted to pick up my check". Now I am leaning on this half door with a shelf and he said something that he cant cut a check for them, and my reply was as I was jiggling the door knob, you know Chuck I never did kick your ### for that cussing you gave me in St. Louis. His reply was... I was in the wrong for doing that.....let me get you a check.
Ten years later and I havent seen him since.
At the home twenty for a 120 hour restart.

In a po-dunk truck stop and the four of us are a sight to behold, all lined up pretty on our little corner of the lot: an England, a Knight, a Swift and a Crete. I had to move out of the owner-operator corner. Not because I felt shamed or anybody ran me off, but because I found that homemade lawn-mower-motor APU intolerable. Nice and peaceful over here.
The man running the truck stop is crocheting a beautiful doily. He told how he learned to crochet from his burly, bearded uncle and took it to the Marine Corps with him. Of course, some of the other Marines gave him a rough time over it and went so far as to tell the Master Sergeant about the "sissy" in their midst. The Top came around to see what was going on. When he saw the (then) young man crocheting, he sat down and asked what round he was working on. The young Marine showed him. The Master Sergeant picked up the crochet project, finished up the round and then set it aside with a glare toward the rest of the platoon. Oddly enough, nobody called the crocheting Marine a "sissy" any more. In my opinion, it takes a real man to do something like this that he enjoys, in public without embarassment. This man (now an Elder) has my respect.Last edited: Jul 24, 2011

That's a good one Injun.

I'm in in the middle of the woods in beautiful Barton City. Haven't pulled a load since last Wednesday due to the heat, 90*+, well it's hot for us. The Amish shut down their sawmills because of the heat, so I don't have any chips to haul. Much cooler today, hopefully Monday I'll be working again.
