I guess thats why it pays to have a fire extinguisher on your truck.
-
ya I guess so just cant figure out why he didnt use it and I could'nt understand how he got his brakes so hot there wasnt any steep grades that would cause you to you your brakes that much
-
Probably lost air pressure or developed a leak at the brake chamber
-
I think you meant, it pays to carry a grill on the truck in this situation.
-
I live close to I-80 west of donner pass, down by colfax actually. A week ago a trucker caught his brakes on fire, he had an extinguisher and it didnt help. If it wasnt such a cool summer he would have burned down a large chunk of the country side.

colfax dude my wife use to live in placerville as far as donner its prolly one of the most dangerouse passes in america, and liveing in the bay area I have to go through the pass alot best advice take it slow its not a grade you need to hurry down

I seen the bottom fall out of a loaded cattle truck one time while it was running down the road! Quite the gory mess. The State cops and the county cops were shooting the cattle to put them out of their pain.
