Yes they are a training company. But since every good company out there wants experience and won't give any? So Mr. bigshot tell us what is a driver with no experience to do??? Oh yeah did I tell you all i'm in training as we speak at Stevens in dallas. So far the way I've been treated here has been great. I did all of my searching and Stevens came out on top. Just cause you couldn't hack it here doesn't give you the right to give them a bad rep.![]()

What you call "company folks" is what others call "adults." If a driver doesn't like a companies policies, then he needs to go out and get his own authority and make his own policies. That way, he only has customer policies to whine about.
But no one with any rational level of maturity (since any driver should be over the age of 21) should think they're going to come onto a company's payroll and then expect that company to shape and enforce policies according to the new drivers mood and convenience. Life is not a video game that was designed for our entertainment.
People need to grow up and get a grip on reality.flightwatch Thanks this. -
Adults think for themselves instead of allowing some stupid mega carrier to place any more financial burden on them than the DOT already does.
People like you really make me wonder how I stayed at Schneider for so long. Some 300 pound c/hit bag comes flying out of his truck onto his face all while wearing flip flops. So now you better not step foot into a terminal without your boots on. I only own boots so leave me out of this. Don't care and don't want to hear it. -
Are you serious? This thread isn't about who you work for and their policies. It's about Stevens and THEIR policies. Nobody cares if you or me or anybody else likes it or not. If anyone hires on with Stevens, they have to abide by Stevens policies. That's common sense.
I wasn't saying whether I agree that the time has to be logged - again, nobody cares what I think about it. I'm just saying that if the guy works for Stevens, and they tell him he has to log it... then he has to log it. It's their show.
Hopefully, he'll be able to work his way into a company like yours where he has more leeway. Until then... do he has to do and move on. -

So in other words we can't say anything bad about stevens whether we worked there or not? -
Enough of the bickering in here. No personal attacks, just facts!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here. Is it possible that there are only a few BAD companys and many more bad dispatchers, DM's, FM's and TM's. And somehow these people get refered to as "the company"? Think about it. It's ok, they're not watching. Or are they?

The logging of safety classes while on the yard started after a driver left the yard after being up all day clearing and proceded off the highway a few hours later and layed it over. DOT found stevens policy needed to be changed due to this accident. Any driver that drives tired needs to reevalute his priorities
