I've made $700 bring home a few times, but the average is $450-550 for me. I go home every other weekend.

Some weeks i can get just over 3,000 miles. But that is usually because i go home on a 500 mile load. and i don't deliver till the following monday. So the load that i really drove on friday, goes on the next weeks check. then you get a good week, and you have 3,000. But the weeks surrounding that week are always bad. like between 1,000 and 1500 miles.
I have gotten 3,000 like 2 or 3 times in 5 months. -
Any 3,000+ mile week isn't surrounded by crappy weeks, just average weeks ($450-550 paychecks). Max check for me is around $948 iirc... Only high because I had two or three loads and three stop off pays. Crappy mileage weeks for me usually include Hometime weeks or Breakdown weeks (except for recently).
If you want consistant 3000+ miles a week get to the west coast. You'll most likely be stuck over there for a while, but the runs are there. Hardest part is getting over there...
As long as my orientation schedule is confirmed next week, I won't be returning after my vacation. Truck is at the terminal with the keys in it all cleaned out and parked in the empty truck spots. -
Yea, they play favorates with the senior drivers too. Anyone driving a kenworth or a freightliner is one of thier boys.
they get the best loads. And when there are no loads, they get a load before someone else. -
.
Seniors usually have first choice on getting a Peterbilt 387 (wider nose).
And as for loads... if your fleet manager is good to you and not lazy, they can preplan you a load on their board before a load coordinator assigns you one. Meaning the fleet manager has more control over where you go, if they know where you want to stay (or not go).
I'm not 100% sure on how the loads are setup anymore since they've changed to the new system... but I do know that O/O's can still take a load from a company driver if that driver hasn't picked it up yet. -
Also, I have no headaches at Roehl. Everyday at USA seemed like one problem after another.
Not sure what you were told about home time for Roehl but doesn't sound like it was the full story. They have some of the best home time schedules in the business. I'm out 14 days and home 7. I'm also home on time, every time! I was always at least 5 days late getting home when I was at USA. -
Yes! problems every day with usa!
Half of the load assigments don't have a pick up # on them. so you have to wait to get one sent to you. that is if they can find one at all.
1 in 10 loads i end up not being able to pick up at all. And spend 24 hours tring to pick it up, before they just give me another load.
and my FM is so lazy, he NEVER preplans me on any loads. i am always waiting for loads after i deliver my current one. -
Got unloaded this morning at 0030 and here it is 1015 and nothing still. I sent him a message letting him know I was ready for a load. I got a 10/4 and that was it. -
i got a prehire for both i dont remember if i said this before. but lets say i bring home 800 a week at roehl x2 is 1600 divided by 3 because 14-7 technically its about the same as usa i understand no headaches but you see your family for one week every 3 weeks i hae heard roehl drivers fresh out of school bringing home 900 a week so thats not bad at all and I also heard roehl does the 7-4 set up which is a driver better off with?
