Yes... RUN!! Less than 3 months with McGriff, sent me 'out of network' route, had to buy gas, could not get fuel because the fuel cards were rejected!!! Sat over 6 hours trying to get a reply by phone/qualcom as to what to do, was ignored for over an hour of sitting, finally got ok from dispatcher for fuel. Filled up and within 15 minutes told to return to the yard! I was fully loaded, headed to New Orleans but returned to the yard, sat overnight, then given a different load. Almost every load I had was 'out of network' so had to get permission for fuel, finally, they called me into the yard driving from Georgia back to Alabama and was let go because I had 'out of network' fill ups that were authorized by the dispatcher because there were NO network truck stops along the routes I was given!!! I was leaving the office and was told by a McGriff driver of 10 years he was laid off because they were going out of business! When I was let go I was asked "Do you want us to put down you quit or do you want us to put you were fired"..
To top it off... McGriff is in Cullman Alabama... it cost me $100.00 for taxi fare to get to Greyhound Bus in Birmingham, plus the cost of the bus ticket back to Florida! Man, what a way to run a business!!! I could not have run those routes any other way but out of network, they knew it, gave me permission for fuel.. then fired me! What the ????????

I agree run as fast as u can worked for them for 1 year would not pay for break down , holliday, or vaction pay, and even will not pay for loads delivered. When you call about your check all they will say is not my falt would not wish this company on my worst enemy. this company just needs to disappear off the face of the earth!!!!!!!!!!

And 5-6 years ago,
they had a waiting list to work there !!!!
What a shame...........bamanation Thanks this. -
I heard that they are in so much trouble financially that they had to drop their own authority and sign all of their trucks on with Greatwide American Trans-Freight.
Any truth to this? -
I have noticed over the past month all of their trucks (that I've seen anyway) have greatwide decals on the side and these are company trucks
-
I sure hate this. They were once a great company.
