After running hard a couple of days, I pulled onto a get on ramp on I 70 in Kansas for a short power nap about 1 hour before sunset. I got into the sleeper and left the curtain open a little. Just as the sun was on the horizon I woke up thinking I'd slept all night and this was sunrise and I was late!
I jumped into the drivers seat barefooted and starting hauling ###, it took a few miles for me to compute, I was heading westbound into a SETTING SUN and I hadnt slept all nite.
And then there's the classic tale of a driver taking a nap over the steering wheel and a friend(??) stops and positions his truck nose to nose with yours then hits the air horn. Of course the napping driver freaks out when he wakes up thinking he is seconds away from a headon crash! I dont think I would consider that driver a friend after pulling that stunt and I dont think I would do that to a fellow driver......unless it was "mosquito" (inside joke for McClendon drivers).
