Oh..I see your driving one of the CATS too..We have a whole fleet of these POS's and they spend more time at the dealership than on the road. I LOVE pulling over (usually near a nice, dry hillside) to do a forced re-gen because the #### thing can't get up the GrapeVine when it starts to derate the power..Then the exhaust gets so hot it GLOWS, shoots sparks all over the place (and we haul flammable-REAL flammable stuff), spends 30 minutes doing all this and away we go finally. A week later that check engine lights back on, and its lather, rinse and repeat...WHO thinks this crap up ??scottied67 Thanks this.

I have not seen a cat with dph filter system on it I drive a prostar now can out of cummins that would use 3 gallons of oil in 2 days and it was well over 750000 glad to get out of it

Idk. I started driving the truck a few months ago, at 290,000 miles.
I know the crankcase filter is wet. Some kind of fluid is leaking out. -
And the ECM wasn't throwing a code?
-
the check engine light come on and off a lot.
i just ignore the #### thing.
If i went in the shop every time the check engine light came on, I would never be out on the road. -
Could be the crankcase filter is plugged....You may want to change it or enjoy the light show.....

No all ours are pre-dpf. However I'm always looking on truckpaper for a 2008+ W900L with a Cat. If I can find one with the specs I want I may jump on it. Most guys who own them don't realize how easy they are to fix so they can sometimes be bought cheap. And since you don't egr valves or a VGT the full delete is WAY cheaper than with a Cummins and with more power.

and my truck was just serviced. I drive a company truck.
since they just did a full service you would think they would have sniffed out any problems with the crankcase filter.
But these mechanics they have are retarded. They didn't even tighten up the coolant filter. and i was leaking coolant right after i got serviced. -
I believe the main problems with filters clogging up too soon is from one simple thing: IDLING. Low idle doesn't put enough delta pressure through the system and not enough heat to cook the stuff out. Once I had my filter cleaned out, now I high idle about 1000 rpm if idling at all. No problems since.
It was recommended to me to run a regen (2010 KW T660) once day, usually at the end of the day. I think it's rude to pull in at the end of the day between 2 other trucks and do that so oftentimes I will pull over about the middle of my shift and find a space out by myself to run this routine and go walk the dog for 20 minutes.
The first 6 months, check engine light all the time. Had some left over window tint from the local home improvement store and cut a little 1.5 inch by 1.5 inch piece and licked it lol and placed it on speedo. Could still see the light, just not blinding me. Learned this trick in my pickup when the cruise control light was so bright but not adjustable like the rest of the dash lights....Working Class Patriot Thanks this.
