How many miles did your old century have on it when they traded?

 

My world is SOSDD. After the response I got from my terminal manager a couple weeks ago, I decided to do one of ET's previous tricks...go home more. I remember way back when where he said the 3 weeks and home was working for him, so I'm trying it. Was out exactly 21 days, and they had me home for 3 days...I actually needed a 4th day. I figured living in FL and it being late Oct(when I was home) that an extra day (on the weekend) wouldn't be a issue.....WRONG! I was offered 3 loads to choose from, and told that my service was really needed, so...needing to try to rack up some miles, I went back out. Sunday thru Friday this week, 2402 miles...and preplanned on a load from western WI to Socorro, TX for Monday. Now the problem...my apu is back tripping it's ecm breaker, and the new batteries that Ottawa installed in April aren't making it through the night with just the bunk heater running at it's lowest speed. Plus, this truck is due for a B service, has begun using oil, and I'm down on coolant, w/o any visible leaks. Why is it I always seem to get the good runs screwed up by my truck's issues. I only have 490k on it...not sure how much longer they'll keep me in it. I've talked to some that were out of their Century's by 525k, but others that were in them until the 550k's...

 

570K. Ran great, but I do love this ProStar. Nice and quiet with plenty of power.

 

I'm screwed then...there is no way on God's green earth I am going to put up with this P.O.S. for another 75-80k...it's down a couple times a month now, not counting normal services. In fact, I have still not gotten it serviced, or got the APU fixed...although the last 2 days it hasn't tripped the breaker once...knock on wood.

After I got done in Socorro Monday, I was put on a load that delivers in Forrest City, IA any time Thursday...will put me around 2950 for the week, and some hours left to run.

Speaking of Socorro....JDZR, was that you I waived at as you were leaving the 3m warehouse the other day? It was the same Cornbinder model and color as on your signature line.

Glad to hear someone is getting miles. I am stuck in Corey-land hell. Never ending 250 mile loads from PA to CT and then back.

ah super snak bar what is this I thght u said u only get bout 2200 m/wk an thts it so how does this come about just curious. Also I herd tht all the 07 were gonna be gone by end of yr. Anybody else herd tht

 

Just received notice I gotta do the e logs trainnig. Anybody done that? What all is involved?

 

You watch a short video & then they throw you to the wolves. The "training" isn't very thorough but you get 2-4 weeks of doing elogs & paper logs to get it figured out. Once you get the hang of it, it's really easy. Timing your 15 minute pre-trip is the most complicated but there are several different ways to handle that. None of which they tell you in training.
