Big/Fluffy People Beware!! If you can not get your body underneath the truck, which requires you to squeeze underneath a space no larger than 18", you will be disqualified from training and WILL BE SENT HOME! Just one of the things they do not tell you during recruiting.

It is a requirement of the job, to physically inspect the truck each day. If you are too fat to do that, you can't do the job.

You've got to be kidding me. No need to sugarcoat that's one giant sunmbich right there. The last thing someone that size needs to be doing is driving a truck. Good grief.

At least other companies have the common decency to inform their prospective drivers what physical requirements they have for their training program through their recruiting website. If I had this knowledge, I would have thought otherwise before packing all of my worldly possessions into storage, driving for seven hours in my own vehicle and flat out given them $100 of my own money just for them to tell me that they can't hire me because I'm too fat to work for them.

Name them Mr. can't accept the fact you can not do the job. I see posts from many people complaining of the very same thing at other training companies.

i heard USA truck won't hire fat drivers either.

in training there was a fat guy going thru the school for USA. Half way thru the school, USA dropped him from the program.

Looks like a few here really just enjoy riding atop the corporate scrotum. Stevens is not the best nor the worst. They are however a training company. Facts are facts, but some still fight it. I've been here for 6 years and a good deal of the negative stuff is actually true. Tlea, I know who you are and I'm not impressed. :biggrin_25513: as with any job or workplace, you have to work through the BS, Stevens has a lot of it..... so do most others.

Facts are Facts, and if one is too fat to do the job, that is their problem, not Stevens.
Now you claim the negative stuff is true, yet you still work for Stevens. Makes me question why?
And if you know who I am, but have never introduced yourself, (chicken maybe) you know I criticize stevens, and tell my experiences with them. I do not ride the corporate scrotum.
Most of the negative posts here and else where, are based in facts, that the poster distorts because they will NOT take responsibility for their own actions, and choose to blame stevens, or any other company.
